about

It's not only drones and heavy ambient the Dutch [law-rah] collective produces. Recent explorations included beats, trip-hop and songs structures and on 'Kaviaar & Korenwolven' (tr: Caviar & Hamsters) the experiments continue. Various approaches on the origin of sounds are combined with different compositional adaptation, for example cut-up techniques.

The title refers to two animals that have been reintroduced in the Dutch fauna, as they originally were part of it but 'human progress' ended that. Because 'human progress' - through means of CD's, computers, digital media, internet, P2P constructions, piracy, etc - made cassettes 'redundant', Lage Landen Lawaai reintroduces the concept of the rarely seen 'tape' back in the Dutch musical underground.

this time the [law-rah] collective is martijn pieck and bauke van der wal
